7 Days Rongai Route

The only route approaching from the north, offering a unique perspective of Kilimanjaro and better weather conditions during rainy season.

Route Overview

The Rongai Route is the only path that approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the north, near the Kenyan border. This less-traveled route offers a unique wilderness experience with fewer crowds and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The northern approach receives less rainfall, making it an excellent choice during the rainy season. The gradual ascent provides good acclimatization, resulting in strong summit success rates.
